![]() ![]() About the content, they do a decent job in the store but they really should explain what everythign does, instead of just putting "muslim characters playable" or "expanded story to XYZ". They already allow for an easy way to change back to previous version of the game too, so it would be pretty stupid to make it harder for you to play the updated game (making you download the dlc). just wanted to say that their model of free updates should be lauded more.Ĭlick to shrink.I would say that it would be a mess to put all the free updates as dlc, as they are not separete modules but rather an iterative process that affect the game (as in you need the previous one for the next one to work). Now, there are some expansions that are shite and should never be so expensive (Third rome.) and they really should pack and lower the packs of expansion with time, as it is crazy that some eu4 expansions from 2 years ago are still full price.Įdit: just in case, i do not buy paradox dlc day one, as i often find that they are lacking from a paid perspective. The free part is great and we should hope more companies did this. A great thing for all mods too.īasically, they are great packs that will greatly change the game, but their paid part really is small for the price you pay. Paid content is just the rework of some trees (i think germany is free?). They also seem to be trying to make PP more important, as well as adding some depth to the generals. On HOI4, they are adding mission and reworking the whole national unity concept, rebalancing it into two stats that work to more accurate represent democracies (war support and national stability). Paid is not that much, being only the space mongols and new ships and traits to work with. They are also taking a part of their previous expansion and putting it for free (with some stuff left to those who buy that expansion). On Stellaris, they are reworking all the influecne / growth of the empire phase, as well as redoing combat again, adding a little bit of depth. ![]() As much as I like to bitch about Paradox DLC policy and never buy them on release, i have to say that the next two expansions they are doing are probably the best example of why they are so "expensive": ![]()
